Enterprise Technology Summit 2016
Overview
The ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) and ‘Big Data’ are two of the most-talked-about technology topics in recent years. Internet of Things (IoT) or Internet of Everything (IoE) will begin to trigger a massive influx of Big Data. According to International Data Corp. estimations are made that by 2020, the world would have generated around 40 zettabytes of data that makes 5,127 GB per individual. Researchers also expect about 50 billion devices and things to be connected, making the Internet of Things era a firm reality.
There are significant barriers to overcome before the potential benefits are fully realized. We at Mint Enterprise technology Summit delved into where IoT will have the biggest impact and what it means for the future of big data analytics. At the event, experts discussed the barriers to widespread IOT-Big Data value delivery, the lack of standards and concerns over security and privacy.
