Mint Healthcare Summit
India’s healthcare system is developing rapidly and continues to expand its coverage, services and expenditure in the public as well as private sectors. The size of market for hospital services in India is expected to reach US $ 18 billion by 2020 and medical tourism will play an important role in growth of the sector in days to come. Rising income levels and growing elderly populations are all factors that are driving this growth. In addition, changing demographics, disease profiles and the shift from chronic to lifestyle diseases in the country has led to increased spending on healthcare delivery.
Healthcare sector is changing itself. To understand and explore the current healthcare scenario in India, Mint fetched together a panel of industry experts, doctors, research scholar and global pharmacy players to discuss and debate over various critical issues.
The aim of the summit was to create a common platform for different people to discuss and understand the Indian healthcare system and technology which can be a boon for the sector.
