Mint Stressed Assets Investment Summit
Overview
Indian banking has now become one of the most contrained in Asia due to bad loans. Overall stressed advances at Indian banks have jumped to Rs 8 trillion, as per a recent report by EY. However, a number of funds, both domestic and foreign are keen on investing in distressed assets in India. Policy moves like approval for 100% FDI in the ARC space and the new bankruptcy law are also expected to help investors as well as strengthen the rights of debt holders.
