Introduction
Be the ICON
With more than 84,400 start-ups, India has the world's third largest start-up ecosystem. Over 6,50,000 jobs have been created by this segment. The number of new recognised startups has increased to over 14,000 in 2021–22 from only 733 in 2016–17. As start-up leaders, you have been instrumental in transforming user experiences and processes that now enable improved outcomes, access, and experiences—both for large enterprises and individual consumers.
The 4,000+ active investors in the country have also been busy. In 2021 alone, $42 billion was infused into start-ups. While late-stage investments continue to account for the largest share in value, seed and growth-stage investment ticket sizes have also almost doubled compared to 2019.
