Arvind Iyer, Head of Marketing, Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited

Arvind Iyer is a seasoned marketing professional with over 16 years of experience in consumer brands, strategic marketing, and business for different segments across Retail Finance, Education Tech, Automotive, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods and Media.

At Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Ltd., he is responsible for the overall Marketing function and drives the brand for retail and corporate marketing strategy. Arvind plays a pivotal role in further strengthening the financial services business of the Group and is instrumental in leading marketing efforts in the transformational growth phase of the company.

Before Piramal, he worked with various brands and businesses ranging from multibilliondollar enterprises to fully bootstrapped start-ups. Arvind has also been with Viacom18, Royal Enfield, and Unilever, among others. During his career, he has globally launched Cuemath & Royal Enfield Garage Café, brought Tresemmé Hair Care & Dove Deodorants to India and nurtured brands like Taj Mahal Tea and Cornetto Ice Creams in South Asia.

He has bagged several accolades through his stints, like The Yahoo Purple Chair and EMVIES for his work in Hair Care with Unilever and Times Food & Nightlife awards for his work with Royal Enfield.

Arvind holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Communication Management from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune.

Arvind brings 36+ years of Industry experience . Arvind has a multi disciplinary experience in helping financial institution, exploit Information Technology. He has worked in Sales and Marketing, managed software projects and acted as Product Manager and Chief Architect to large enterprise scale applications over three generations. He has also run operations with Board level responsibility in Hong Kong, Singapore and India.   Arvind is a popular speaker and has been adjudged the best speaker in many conferences and has participated in strategic planning (Business and IT) at the board level for many insurers. Arvind loves deep in-the-trench exploration of new trends like AI-ML #genAI, Web3 , #DeFI etc,?

Arvind is an alumnus of the Wharton Business School, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.  ?

Aryaman was a Leader in the Delhi office of the global consultancy major – Bain & Company front-ending business engagements across India, Australia, UK, USA, China, Turkey, Netherlands markets. At Bain, he worked deeply in strategy, performance improvement, and private equity practices.

 

Aryaman led over 30 engagements spanning a variety of sectors and capabilities. Aryaman was also the Knowledge Partner for Marico Innovation Awards 2012 where he led a lot of Bain’s work in the startup landscape in India. He was also the Knowledge Partner of NATHEALTH – Healthcare Federation of India.

Ashok Emani, Director, ESG, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF)

Ashok has over 27 years of experience of applying ESG and Sustainability considerations spanning across financial sector, consulting and research. Ashok heads the NIIFL’s approach to investing responsibly for impact while working closely with investors, investment champions and company management to assess and manage ESG risks & impact, opportunities and value add to build “NIIFL way of doing business”.

Before joining NIIFL, he was the Director & Head ESG at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). Prior to this, Ashok led IDFC Alternatives ESG practice, working with multiple stakeholders including investors, investee companies, sustainability forums and communities. During his ~17 years stint with the IDFC and its subsidiaries, apart from other key initiatives, he was responsible for managing USD 3.8 billion alternatives portfolio in project equity, private and real estate asset class and has implemented the IFC Performance Standards. Prior to IDFC, working along with Dr. Vandana Shiva, he managed grassroots campaigns pertaining to sustainable livelihood, biodiversity and food rights across the country.

Ashok is member of the ESG working group at Global Infrastructure Investors Association (GIIA) and the recipient of Chevening Scholarship from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of UK Government for pursuing environmental management and sustainable development program at University of Wales, Bangor. He holds M.Phil. degree in Applied Economics from Centre for Development Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
