Abhinav Lal, Co-Founder & CTO, Practo

Abhinav Lal is the Co-Founder and CTO of Practo. His love for coding and his belief in the importance of going deep into one's expertise to solve real-world problems is what led him to founding Practo along with his friend and collegemate Shashank ND in 2008. From building the very first version of Practo while still in college, Abhinav has been a hands-on CTO who firmly believes in creating value for all its stakeholders. Being a passionate techie, he has been instrumental in building a product that's loved and used by over 40 crore users across the country.

His role spans across products, system architecture as well as design and development, and he constantly seeks the best technology that would help Practo deliver its goal of 10x better user experience. He also oversees Practo’s security systems, operational integrity, system support and maintenance.

Today, Practo has emerged as a one-stop destination for consumers’ healthcare needs. Consumers can find doctors and book online appointments, consult online with doctors, maintain health records, and even read health articles written by doctors. Currently , Practo has over 5 lakh healthcare providers on its platform and is present in more than 22+ countries.

Abhinav holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from the prestigious NIT, Surathkal. Among a host of recognitions, Abhinav was featured in the ‘Forbes 30 under 30’ list of young influential people to watch out for. An entrepreneur at heart, in his spare time, Abhinav loves
listening to folk music and reading science fiction books. And if not doing these, he actively indulges in the eternal Star Wars Vs Star Trek debate.
