Saurabh brings more than 18+ years of experience in successful implementation of complex HR Strategy, Employee Experience, and Transformation projects in an international context across multiple industries in Asia and the US. He has in-depth experience spanning Digital HR, HR Technology, HR strategy, HR process, and operating model design, shared services design and implementation as well as change and stakeholder management. Saurabh has spent a considerable amount of his professional life working with clients in the United States, Middle East, and in South East Asia. Saurabh has worked across a variety of industries including Technology, Manufacturing, Retail, Engineering Construction, and Healthcare.

Saurabh has also authored numerous papers on the trends in Human Capital and the future of work and is a regular speaker at multiple forums on the HC trends and the future of work.


Saurabh Kumar, Vice-President, India, GEAPP

Saurabh Kumar is the Vice-President-India, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP).

Saurabh is an Indian Revenue Service officer of 1992 batch. He joined Indian Revenue Service as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax and worked as Deputy Commissioner in various sensitive intelligence assignments. After IRS he joined the Union Ministry of Power, Government of India as Deputy Secretary in charge of the Budget and Finance wing with the task of appraising large power projects for government investments. He was part of the 
government structure that was responsible for taking investment decisions in large power projects.

He successfully led EESL in implementing energy efficiency projects such as UJALA, SNLP, MEEP, and AgDSM.

Saurabh has also worked in various capacities in the Income Tax Department, Ministry of Power, and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). On the completion of the GRIPS Young Leaders Program in 2006, Saurabh was appointed as Secretary of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) during 2007-2010, the nodal central body for promoting energy efficiency in India & also the core agency for the implementation of the National Mission on Enhanced Energy Efficiency under the Ministry of Power. One of the key projects implemented under his leadership is one of the world’s largest CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) based efficient lighting projects.

An environmentalist, he has served the UN on deputation handling environmental issues in the Asia-pacific region.

Saurabh has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, and has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies, Tokyo, Japan

Shri Ashish Kundra belongs to the 1996 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He currently leads the office of Pr. Secretary cum Commissioner (Transport), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Shri Ashish Kundra, with a keen interest in Technology, did his graduation in Bachelors of Technology (Electronics) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He has vast administrative experience spanning across 25 years of serving the nation. Sh. Ashish Kundra has held numerous high-pressure posts like being the Chef Electoral Officer of the state of Mizoram, he was also appointed as the Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry from 2009-2014, from 2014 till mid-2016 he served as an Administrator of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, from 2003-2006 Mr. Kundra served as Director in Finance Department and Additional CEO of Delhi Jal Board.

As a Pr. Secretary cum Commissioner (Transport) of the GNCTD, Sh. Ashish Kundra is leading the charge to electrify Delhi’s mobility, curbing tailpipe emissions, getting RTO services to citizens doorsteps by way of Faceless Services, implementing Road Safety measures to make the streets of Delhi safe & secure and ensuring women safety in Public Transport by implementing projects like installing CCTV cameras and panic buttons in every bus of State.
