"Human the New "H" in Hybrid"

When we look at the future today, no one can certainly, witness what new skills will be in demand, what new businesses will emerge, and what the future will look like. The 3 things that we can confirm from the last two years of learning are—

  • future of work will be radically different;
  • pace will be far faster than expected;
  • and most importantly, Business Success = People-First Culture + Human Connections.

The reason is: that employees craving for the engagement and enthusiasm of a workplace grounded in human connection.

To stay resilient and grow progressively in this environment, ADAPTABILITY is the secret sauce. Behind this, extensive change to both mindset and skillset is another essential ingredient to the recipe for a successful future of work. As per WEF data, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making are the structural building blocks for employees to adapt and respond to disruption.

Work, workforce, and the workplace has witnessed multiple shifts in strategies—companies have become flexible, more resilient, and reduced cross-border & intra-country movement. As we entered a new work culture entirely different from the past, it’s time to thrive. It's time to become more self-reliant, and resilient to cope with instability. More than ever, it's time to make humans better at work and work better for humans.

The Mint W3 Conclave 2022 is a step in that very direction. This one-day symposium cum award ceremony showcases why there is a strong need to re-architect the work, unleash the workforce, and adapt to the workplace. It also highlights the shift to thriving from recovery.

    Keynote: The Journey to Digital Work, Workforce, & Workplace 2030

    Work from the office, 5 days a week culture, 9 to 6 job timings is an antiquated relic from the past, and soon it will become a chapter of history. A complete revamp of work culture is on track, ending the old traditional 40-hour workweek. As per the Gartner report, employees who get flexibility over when, how, and where they work are 3x more productive. Another study by NPO confirms a women with child-care responsibility are 32% less likely to quit if they get digital access.

    Digital working = increased productivity, enhanced flexibility, better satisfaction, reduced geographical boundaries, and reduced carbon footprint. More than ever, it testaments Lewis Mumford's words— “True leisure is not freedom from work but freedom in work.” But what's NEXT?  What does the future of Work, Workforce, and Workplace look like in the next 8 years? How will it impact leaders, employees, work, and organizations? What is the chaotic reality today, and what is the strategy for the future?

    Fireside Chat: Re-Architect Work -- Collaboration + Work from Everywhere

    Work is neither a place anymore nor a series of steps or outputs. It’s an action that you act from every device with security. It is an action that motivates and inspires people—it conveys purpose, builds human connection, and connects people to perform tasks. A network of teams (building and owning the value chain) owns a work. If everything goes well, it results in bottom-line outcomes and productivity.

    The ASK is—how can enterprises restructure work to uncover human potential aligned with their thought process and engagement rather than optimized with robotic process flow? How can an organization put work outcomes at the center and unlock a new workflow? How can companies understand the benefits of tech capabilities and utilize them to enable human capabilities? More than ever, why are humans a key ingredient to modern work culture?

    Panel 1: The New Workplace = New Solutions

    As per 46% of IT leaders, in the next 5 years, the workplace will evolve into a virtual world. It’s no more physical building, plant, or office.  Social, digital, and technology trends will be the future driving force. Tech infrastructure will be mainstream. Employees will work from anywhere. Digital dexterity and upskilling will outweigh experience & tenure. Smart machines will be our colleagues. People will work for passion and purpose, not money. In short, the relationship between employees and the workplace will change entirely.

    To embrace this change and foster new productivity & culture, we need new solutions to collaborate, engage, and relate to each other.  Solutions to enable IT leaders, to increase productivity and help organizations to engage with employees and deliver higher returns on IT investments. More than ever, to deliberate design, understanding, and improvements of employees’ technology interactions.

    However, the ASK is—what are those new technologies that will revamp the workplace of employees' dreams & make it more adaptable? How will these solutions ensure no chance of failure?

    Fireside Chat: Workstyles Governed by Lifestyles

    Workstyle and preference of young workers = future of work, workforce, and workplace. If you remember the Great Resignation—people were leaving their job in search of more flexibility and happiness. Younger generation value office differently. The traditional segmentation model that weighs people, personas, and processes are obsolete. With the growth in hybrid work scenarios, the persona-based segmentation approach has become the new normal in the human-centric work culture to improve productivity and maximize satisfaction.

    But what does it mean for the future office? What do they value differently? How will this shift from structure to capabilities and potential define future work, workforce, and workplace?

    Panel 2: Employee Experience Shaping W3

    In this upheaval workplace era, enterprises that deliver tailored, personalized experiences will ignite energy, boost employee purpose, and uplift enterprise performance. Today merely delivering a good IT service won't suffix a great experience. Companies need to address every aspect of their working life. There is a titanic shift from traditional end-user & workplace services to employee experience. This further focuses on people's experiences.

    However, the FRACTURE POINT is—how does the employee experience shape new possible? How will technology further integrate into our day-to-day lives, how will it evolve businesses, and how will people enable a better balance between work purpose & personal lives?

    Tech Talk: Hybrid Workforce Security with Zero Trust

    Today, over 55% of employees prefer a hybrid work environment.  It looks like that hybrid work culture is here to stay and will be the working model for the future. However, this very nature of a hybrid work environment has opened new doors to an array of cyber security vulnerabilities. As a result, the ask is—how to secure a hybrid environment? How do we ensure business network security on every device that employees use? The CALL is—Zero Trust Security.

    But the ASK is—how will zero trust initiatives impact the hybrid workplace? How will zero trust enable a secure user experience regardless of employee location?

    Fireside Chat: Create A Digital Workplace Aligned to Enterprise Goals

    Workplace ≠ physical boundary. It is the enterprise's design, processes, tools, policies, and working approach. More than that, it’s a method through which leaders develop and foster culture, collaborate, engage, and relate to each other.  In other words, the digital workplace help workforce to work in a manner that supports business capabilities. To address this, we need to have a foundational understanding of the digital workplace, environment, and its demands & preferences for success.

    However, the FRACTURE POINT is—How to make the workplace more adaptable? How is digital dexterity and technology enabling working approach now and beyond to create the desired work environment?

  • 5:40 PM – 6:10 PM

    Panel 3: Balancing IT, People, Culture, Process with Hybrid Work

    The step change in the modern work culture, impacting CIOs, CISOs, and workforce—Hybrid Working Model, combining in-person & remote interactions. Implementation of this new style of work culture calls for the complete articulation of how we leverage & value traditional workspaces. Business realignment to new work culture. Identification of the right tools & technologies for hybrid workers. Building secure & flexible access to data and apps. Behind all this, the right approach is to attract & engage with stakeholders and retain top talent.

    But how can we balance IT, People, Culture, and Processes in the Hybrid Work model?
