Pralay Mondal, MD & CEO, CSB Bank Limited

Pralay Mondal is the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank. 


Prior to joining CSB Bank, Mr. Pralay was Executive Director & Head of Retail Banking at Axis Bank and was also the Chairman at Axis Securities Limited and on Board of Axis Finance Limited. He has around 30 years of banking experience across multiple businesses and functions including retail assets, retail liabilities, business banking, products, and technology. Before joining Axis Bank, Mr. Pralay was the Senior Group President and Head of Retail and Business Banking at Yes Bank. He was instrumental in setting up the entire retail franchise in that bank in a short period of time and was on the Board of YES Securities Limited. Earlier to that he had a successful 12-year stint at HDFC Bank and was a Board Member of HDB Financial (NBFC & 100% subsidiary of HDFC Bank). Previously he was associated with Standard Chartered Bank, Wipro InfoTech, and Colgate Palmolive. 


Mr. Pralay’s achievements include pioneering efforts in doorstep banking and direct sales, creating deep geography distribution, and building and scaling up of retail businesses. He is also credited with building capital market, wealth management, private banking, NBFC, credit cards, payments, and digital businesses, from scratch. 


Mr. Pralay Mondal is an Engineer from IIT, Kharagpur and a Management graduate from IIM, Calcutta.

Dr. Pramod Varma is the former Chief Architect of Aadhaar, India's digital identity program that has successfully covered more than 1.3 billion people. He was also the chief architect for various India Stack layers such as eSign, Digital Locker, and Unified Payment Interface (UPI), and Data Empowerment and Protection Architecture (DEPA), and all of which are now working at population scale in India. He played an integral role in architecting India’s digital health infrastructure (ABDM), vaccination & immunization infrastructure (Co-WIN and DIVOC), and Unified Health Interface (UHI).

He is currently the CTO of EkStep Foundation, a not-for-profit creating learner-centric digital public goods under Project Sunbird (sunbird.org). These power India’s largest digital learning infrastructure called DIKSHA providing learning opportunities to 200+ million children and 10+ million teachers in India. Sunbird building blocks are used in other learning, skilling, and capacity building efforts in India and other countries. As part of this effort, he also helped design India’s digital education & skilling architecture blueprint called NDEAR.

In addition, he is the Co-Founder of FIDE.org, he is the genesis author of the open source beckn protocol (becknprotocol.io) that helps create decentralized open discovery, fulfillment, and transaction networks. Beckn protocol is the base protocol for India’s new commerce infrastructure efforts such as Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC.org), Kochi Open Mobility Network (KOMN), and Namma Yatri (nammayatri.in).

He is also an adjunct faculty and Co-Chair at the global Center for DPI (CDPI.dev) , a nonprofit, helping countries design and architect their own Digital Public Infrastructure systems in addition to building local capacity.

He is an advisor to Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), National Payment Corporation (NPCI), Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), National Health Authority (NHA), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Turing Institute Identity Initiative in the UK, and helps with many Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives in India and across the globe. He is a regular speaker and evangelist for open source efforts and actively advocates Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) investments as a means to drive inclusive and equitable economic growth.

Pramod holds a Master’s and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science along with a second Master’s in Applied Mathematics. His interests include Internet scale distributed architectures and intelligent systems. He is passionate about technology, science, society, and teaching.


Pranav Anam, Founder & CEO, The Gene Box

Pranav Anam is a qualified geneticist from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. He has a rich exposure in Genetics and Bioinformatics spectrum including Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Immunology, Biomolecules, Pharmacology and Cytogenetics. Having said that, his strategy and business acumen makes him a visionary who is able to make sense of the chaos. His greatest strength is his ability and agility in setting up and steering large global teams across diverse businesses.

He has successfully developed a unique pan-India commercial and collaborative platform to help stem cell scientists, academicians, and medical practitioners create best-in-class therapeutic products and services.

At The Gene Box: Founder/ CEO

Pranav plays a critical role of a catalyst and business accelerator. On the one hand, he spearheads the firm’s business development and strategic alliances, on the other; he actively coordinates with the product development and engineering teams towards continually enhancing TGB’s unique value proposition and expanding its wide range of offerings.

The inception of The Gene Box was serendipitous. Pranav Anam, A young, enterprising graduate in genetics, returned from Newcastle, UK in 2015. He was on the prowl for his next big adventure in life. His love for genomic science ran deep and that paved the way for what was to come. Aware of the influence of genetics on fitness and nutrition, he wanted to build a platform where he could channelizehis knowledge for the betterment of quality of life.

Pranav spent months speaking to the predictive wellness space in India. He soon realized that there was an unmet gap in genomics infrastructure in the country. A geneticist at heart, Pranav took matters to hand and decided to start The Gene Box on the principles of science. For
Pranav, science came first, selling later.

Pranav spent three years mastering the nitty-gritty of predictive testing. He built a razor-sharp algorithm that would make sense of the gigabytes of genomic data that would be generated in the years to come. Pranav invested time and effort, blood and toil to scaffold cutting edge technology platforms. Knowledge and Technology have been the cornerstones of The Gene Box since the very beginning. A person with infectious energy, passion and indepth knowledge about Genetics and Stem cell research makes Pranav a people’s person at The Gene Box which in turn helps him to effectively lead the teams across product development, engineering to business development and strategic alliances. Today, The Gene Box is a leading genetic testing

Pranav Chawda is the CEO of JP Morgan Chase Bank, India and Head – Global Corporate Banking.

The Bank has been in India since 1945. As a full service Bank, the India franchise caters to the needs of some of the largest Indian and MNC Corporates along with key Financial Institutions and Foreign Institutional Investors. The addition of Commercial Banking in recent years, completes the client segment offering of the bank.

Pranav Chawda heads Global Corporate Banking in India, based in Mumbai. As part of his overall responsibility, he was in-charge of launch of Commercial banking and build the business of Indian headquartered mid-market corporates basis his extensive experience in this segment. Pranav is also a member of the India Management Committee, the ALCO and the India Credit Committee for JP Morgan Chase NA, India branch.

Pranav joined the firm in November 2019. He has spent over 23 years in banking industry and has held senior leadership roles with another global bank heading various business segments i.e. SME, Liability and Mid-market. His last employment was with a Regional foreign bank in India, as Commercial Bank head.

Pranav is a Chartered Accountant and has worked with Deloitte, Price Waterhouse, Citigroup and DBS.
