Dr. Ravi M. Bhatkal, Managing Director, India Element Solutions Inc.
Dr. Ravi Bhatkal serves as Managing Director, India, Element Solutions Inc., Cookson India Private Limited. Dr. Bhatkal is responsible for the India businesses of Element Solutions Inc., including MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions and MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions. Cookson India Private Limited is a unit of Element Solutions Inc., an NYSE listed $2.4 billion specialty materials and chemicals company.
Dr. Bhatkal currently serves as Member of the Global Board of Directors of iNEMI, the global electronics industry consortium with over 85 global electronics systems, sub-systems, components, PCB and materials manufacturers with cumulative member revenues in excess of $750 billion, as well as universities and research institutes. Dr. Bhatkal serves as National Executive Board member and member of the Electronics Manufacturing Committee of American Chamber of Commerce, India, and also serves as a Research Advisory Board Member at the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bengaluru.
Previously, Dr. Bhatkal served as VP, Energy Technologies, at Alpha Assembly Solutions, an Element Solutions Inc. Business, where he built and scaled a new business in the Alternative Energy and Energy Efficiency value chains. Prior to this, Ravi served as VP and General Manager of the global Engineered Products business at Alpha and led Global Strategic OEM Marketing, Strategic Planning, and the corporate New Business Development initiatives at Cookson Electronics (Alent), a global >$1 billion specialty and electronic materials company.
Dr. Bhatkal has previously served on the Industrial Advisory Board of the Lighting Enabled Systems and Applications NSF Engineering Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, USA, and the Technology Commercialization Advisory Board for Physical Sciences at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
Dr. Bhatkal’s early experience includes roles in R&D in India, and management consulting, as well building an advanced materials start-up, in the USA.
Dr. Bhatkal earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Vanderbilt University, USA, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune, India, where he won the Savley Gold Medal. He is widely published and is a co-inventor on four granted and four pending patents.
Dr. Roopa Basrur, VP, Global Safety Medical Writing, Parexel
Roopa is a clinical research professional leading the Safety Medical Writing organization at Parexel. With over two decades of experience in drug development, her expertise spans medical writing, document quality, clinical operations, medical services, technology, and data management. She has held leadership roles, including country manager for a clinical research technology organization. Roopa is a physician with a post-graduate diploma in medical law and ethics from the National Law School of India University. She is passionate about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.
Dr. Sanjeev Panchal, Country President and MD, AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd
Dr. Sanjeev Panchal is Country President & Managing Director for AstraZeneca India (Plc), leading Bold Ambition 2030 by building the next phase of growth through innovation strategy.
In his previous role as CP for AZ Malaysia, he was instrumental in transforming the business to achieve double-digit growth outpacing market. He was also Vice President PhAMA - an industry association, a Board of Director for the British Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and actively chaired the Malaysia Cancer Care Coalition. He played a critical role in supporting the government in combating the pandemic, led corporate affairs strategy and sustainability initiatives.
Since starting his career in the company in India 19 years ago, Sanjeev has held leadership positions within India and Indonesia, before moving to Regional Asia Pacific in Singapore and the International Region in the UK.
Sanjeev is a Science graduate (BSc) with Post Graduation (MBA) and holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (PhD). He also holds professional Diplomas in International Business and Human Resource Management.

Dr. Vibha Tripathi, Founder, Boon
Dr. Vibha Tripathi is a social entrepreneur working in the energy and water sector. She holds a post-graduate and PhD degree from IIT Kanpur with specialization in the research and development of solar energy.
Dr. Tripathi is the founder of Boon, a technology driven company with a focus on social and environmental impact with respect to drinking water. She has been the key driver behind Boon’s IoT enabled WaterATMs® and WaterCubes, commercial premium drinking water machines meant for 100+ people. Each machine is driven by an IoT mechanism designed and engineered by Boon’s in-house R&D facility, which allows the team to send and receive key information. The company collects this data through the remotest parts of the country and has built a unique water map. This remote-control mechanism also allows management to repair and update the machines effortlessly. The latest designs for B2B allow user engagement, a QR Code phone app to check water quality in real time and a dashboard for admin to monitor their usage. Many of the designs are solar ready.
Boon is currently on their 4th generation with reaching 1000 installations. Boon is instrumental in giving clean drinking water to half a million people daily while removing 85 tons of plastics annually.
In her free time, she loves rustling up interesting meals, preparing for marathons, and traveling to new destinations.
