Nagesh A. Basavanhalli is currently Group CEO & MD of Greaves Cotton Ltd & Director Ampere Vehicles Private Limited. Nagesh is a Global Automotive Executive with experience of leading and transforming businesses with profitable growth. He has been instrumental in bringing higher value for the shareholders and the best technology and resources to create a winning brand.

As a Global business leader, Cleantech Enthusiast and Corporate Strategist, he is responsible for the Company’s growth strategy in India and abroad. Under his leadership, Greaves Cotton Limited has signed strategic partnerships and alliances reinforcing the company positioning as India’s leading last-mile transportation, solutions and services company. This included creating and strengthening Greaves Cotton’s presence in clean mobility solutions through Greaves Electric Mobility division. As part of Greaves Electric Mobility, he has been instrumental in developing Ampere as one of the leading E-Mobility brands in India.

Prior to his appointment at Greaves Cotton Limited, he has been associated with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for over two decades, last serving as the Managing Director and President of Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ld. He joined Chrysler in 1994 and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, strategy & sales and product planning. He has also been associated with the ATG group (KKR Portfolio company) as the Group President for emerging markets. (Asia, Africa, South America) Nagesh has been instrumental in setting up EMO offices for Chryster in India, China and Eastern Europe for Global R&D Services, LCC Sourcing & Local JV’s.

He was awarded the Booth India Business Leader by Chicago Booth Business School in 2009 and received The Economic Times award in 2021 for his contribution towards E-Mobility in India. Nagesh holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master of Science from the University of Texas. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Business School. He is a trustee of the Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai.

Naina Lal Kidwai is Chairman Rothschild India, Senior Advisor Advent Private Equity and TPG Rise Climate, Advisor Lightspeed Venture Partners, India, Member on The Mission board of EQT Future Fund and a non-executive Director on the boards of Global and Indian companies and Past President of FICCI. She retired as Executive Director on the board of HSBC Asia Pacific and Chairman HSBC India.

An MBA from Harvard Business School, she is the recipient of several international and Indian awards and honours including the Padma Shri for her contribution to Trade and Industry.

She has authored 3 books including the bestsellers “30 women in Power” and “Survive Or Sink: An Action Agenda for Sanitation, Water, Pollution, and Green Finance”.
