Radhika Gupta is the MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund. Under her stewardship, the company has seen a meteoric rise in Assets Under Management (AUM), growing from over ?6,500 crore as of 31st March 2017 to more than ?1.40 Lakh crore by 31st July 2024. A graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Radhika is also a hedge fund manager, entrepreneur, and author. In 2022, she authored 'Limitless,' a ground-breaking guide steering the journey of self-investment towards success. Her dynamic presence in motivational sessions at corporate events and podcasts underscores her commitment to enlightening others on both fiscal understanding and mental resilience.
Radhika has been listed by Forbes, Fortune, and Business Today among India’s ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ and by Economic Times in their list of ‘India’s Hottest 40 Young Business Leaders.’ Further solidifying her global reputation in the finance domain, she was recognized as a Young Global Leader in 2022 by the World Economic Forum and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023 from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. A graduate from the Management and Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania (USA); with joint degrees in Economics from the Wharton School & Computer Science Engineering from the Moore School, Radhika Gupta is MD & CEO of Edelweiss Asset Management Limited, one of India’s fastest growing mutual fund companies. She has recently been elected as Vice Chairperson at AMFI.
Radhika is avid motivational speaker and author of the highly acclaimed book LIMITLESS (2022), in which she captures her personal experience and talks about overcoming adversity and attaining success.
Radhika started her career with McKinsey & Company, and then progressed to become a hedge fund manager with AQR Capital – one of the world’s largest hedge funds. She then moved to India to start her own venture named – Forefront Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm, which was acquired by Edelweiss in 2014. An asset management professional with experience across asset classes and investor segments; she successfully led Edelweiss’s acquisition of JP Morgan’s Mutual Fund business and Ambit Capital’s AIF business in 2016.
A true global personality, having travelled across 4 continents, she is the founding President of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club, a member of the Global Leadership Council of the Management and Technology Program and a Board Member of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). A keen micro-blogger on Twitter and an avid Bridge player, her unique life story narrated in the video, ‘The Girl with a Broken Neck’, has garnered over 2 Lakh views.
